CASUAL BUS DRIVERS (Kalgoorlie Residential)
Due to increasing workload we are seeking casual mine site bus drivers who reside in Kalgoorlie.
Applicants must be willing to take on early morning starts and be able to demonstrate a high level of reliability.
A minimum HR unrestricted license with bus driving experience and a current passenger transport driver (PTD) authorisation will be required to apply.
In July 2020, passenger transport driver (PTD) authorisations were introduced – these replace F and T driver’s licence extensions that permit someone to drive for hire or reward.
A PTD authorisation is an annual authorisation that must be renewed every year. F and T extensions were previously issued with no expiry date and remained valid, provided that the holder continued to meet the fit and proper requirements.
Unlike F (charter and bus) or T (taxi) extensions, a PTD authorisation is not specific to a type of passenger transport. It enables you to drive any authorised passenger transport vehicle relevant to the licence class on your driver’s licence. Existing F and T extension holders have until 11.59pm, Wednesday 30 June 2021 to apply for and be granted a PTD authorisation.
